Notes on the Vertiginous

| Speaker | An afternoon screening and series of presentations I Saturday 30 May, 2–5pm | Flat Time House, in partnership with LUX Artists’ Moving Image I

Taking John Latham’s 16mm film Erth (1971) as a starting point ‘Notes on the vertiginous’ situated the film within a wider discussion concerning the volume, elasticity and political dimension of our expanded visual territory.

I spoke about data images, location-sensing and user-updated content, proposing a virtual rather than visual territory that we feel compelled to continuously update and respond to.

Other contributors included Julieta Aranda and Ellen Greig.
